Les époques modernes et a fortiori post-modernes lient au contraire de façon intime technique (de mesure) et idéologie (économique). Dans un monde agrégeant donc technologie et idéologie, le lien que faisait l’art entre la pensée du global et la pratique du quotidien a tendance à se diluer. Pour exister, l’art devrait retrouver son indépendance vis à vis de cet agglomérat qu’est la technidéologie, où l’information se perd au profit du média qui la porte (the medium is the message).
